- Herbal compresses have a solid place in traditional Thai medicine. They are most commonly used for relaxation or as compresses to alleviate pain and other symptoms of various conditions.
- The compresses are made of a piece of cotton fabric filled with a mixture of medicinal herbs. They contain ingredients such as turmeric root, lemongrass, lime leaves, or tamarind.
- Heat combined with active herbal ingredients stimulates blood circulation, reduces muscle tension, and alleviates chronic pain.
- The natural aroma of medicinal herbs helps to relieve stress and tension. It also has a positive effect on the respiratory tract.
- Herbal compresses are heated in a steam bath and pleasantly warm the whole body. Therefore, the massage is ideal during colder months.
General information
- Arrive at the salon approximately 15 minutes before the massage begins so that we can heat the herbal compresses. Meanwhile, you can prepare for the massage and relax with a cup of warm herbal tea.
- During the massage, you lie naked or in underwear on the bed. Intimate areas are covered with a prepared towel.
- Disposable underwear is available upon request, or you can remain in your own underwear. However, there is a risk of soiling the laundry during the massage.
- You can adjust the massage intensity using the SOFT (request for a gentler massage) and STRONG (request for a stronger massage) cues. If the compresses are too hot for you, use the TOO HOT cue to alert the therapists.
- For maximum positive effects, we recommend a massage duration of at least 90 minutes and repeating the procedure once a week.
